What I have watched over the last seven days:
The Ides Of March (2011)
Director: George Clooney
Starring: George Clooney, Ryan Gosling, Philip Seymour Hoffman
A riveting and intriguing depiction of the internal politics that surround a presidential campaign. Similar in tone to The West Wing or The Newsroom, George Clooney and Ryan Gosling give slick and stylish performances, exemplifying the enticing yet untrustworthy nature of the political universe. Always nice to see a film that manages to surprise you with a few well crafted plot twists. 7/10.

Toy Story Of Terror! (2013)
Director: Angus MacLane
Starring: Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack
A twenty minute long special Halloween instalment from Pixar, this time giving the protagonist duties to cowgirl Jessie in a surprisingly scary Toy Story reunion. An interesting plot and the introduction of several new and impressive toys to the series universe. This twenty minutes of Pixar nostalgia is better than the majority of feature length animation released in the last three years. 7/10.

Cracks (2009)
Director: Jordan Scott
Starring: Eva Green, Juno Temple, María Valverde
A dark and disturbing look in to the obsessions and dangers that can be created in the micro-environment of an all girls boarding school. Eva Green gives a hypnotic performance as a Jean Brodie-esque teacher whose interests in her ‘favourites’ walk the fine line between personal and professional. Special mention for Juno Temple and María Valverde as two pupils particularly under her spell. 8/10.
Two good movies here…
Evan Green’s eyes are quite fascinating ! I do agree
