There are some weeks that I either cannot make it to the cinema, don’t feel like compiling a top ten, or simply don’t fancy any of the recent releases but still want to write. I have been thinking about what new feature I could add to the blog and decided, like many others do, to make my way through some sort of compiled list. My choice of list, however, is where things begin to get a little different.
Yes, I have made the decision to dedicate a considerable amount of my future film watching experience to the one hundred motion pictures that the trusty IMDB.com have declared to be the worst ever made. Why, I hear you ask? Firstly, I clearly hate myself and am engaging in a long and drawn out form of self harm. Secondly, I don’t feel the need to clog up the internet with yet another piece on just how amazing The Shawshank Redemption is or just how clever Memento is. Instead, I’m going to be exploring such potential gems as Titanic: The Legend Goes On…, 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain and, this is for real, The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies. I’m calling this venture the ‘Second Chance Saloon’ because, as much as those titles make me want to run for the hills (not the Mega Mountain), I am going to attempt to find some, just some, merit in every single one that I watch. The list can be found here.
It’s not going to be easy, pretty, or in any particular order. I’ll do my best to get my hands on any titles on the list wherever and whenever I can.
Oh! That Film Blog, watching bad films so that you don’t have to since 2013.
Films from the list reviewed so far:
14. From Justin To Kelly
34. Glitter
74. Simon Sez
80. Feel The Noise
89. Gigli
OMG you must be into masochism to do this to yourself!
Haha! My body is ready.
This sounds amazing. I cannot wait.
Some of them might actually be pretty good 😉 I am looking forward to it.
